A little while ago I wrote a post about really addicting browser games and a friend of mine wanted to give her input, so please enjoy her take on addiciting games!
With so many exciting video-games available, it’s almost impossible to narrow a list down to five of the most addictive. Candy Crush Saga is enjoyed by almost a half-billion player’s world-wide. Bejeweled Blitz and World of Warcraft are more popular than ever, and gaming just keeps getting more interesting – as the following five games attest.
World of Warcraft
World of Warcraft provides exciting play as well as amazing graphics. The quests and adventures are larger than life offering addiction that surpasses the ‘WOW’ levels. While it can be expensive to play, World of Warcraft never grows old. Available since 2004, the video game has proven to be one of the most addictive. The central game with quadruple extensions has beckoned gamers to the mystical world of Azeroth for the past ten years, and continues to be one of the most obsessive games ever created.
Sweet and enticing Candy Crush Saga is played by roughly a half-billion enthusiasts! The game involves mix candies and matching them to create remarkable and addictive results. Developed by ‘King’ the same company that designed ‘Bubble Witch Saga,’ Candy Crush is a terrific way for players to satisfy their cravings and assemble combinations in a way similar to Bejeweled. Easy to master, the video-game is just like the real sweets and just as difficult to resist.
It seems that Bejeweled Blitz has been around for ions, yet it remains a favourite amongst gamers, so much so that it was recently turned into a video slots game and even a combined World of Warcraft Bejeweled add-on. Released by Popcap, mobile and Facebook versions are played by millions. Bejeweled Blitz is a timed matching-game that provides for fast paced addicting play. Special jewels can be matched in rows and columns, with an occasional multipliers dropping down to substantially increase the score.
Grand Theft Auto V
For players who aren’t into the sweet stuff, Grand Theft Auto V provides gamers with thrill adventures as they attempt to navigate their way through an urban jungle, using whatever means they have. Grand Theft Auto V is an ideal way to virtually experience a world of crime. In Los Santos, players compete, steal cars, collect cash, and spend time with ‘girlfriends’ after designing your own game-character. The game offers a realistic glimpse of the underworld and proves habit forming with its many twists, turns, and seemingly endless hidden secrets.
And then there’s Pokémon! From that very first collection of cards until now, most players are still catching and collecting them. While the Pokémon numbers have increased, players keep returning for more. The standard methodology hasn’t changed because, quite simply, it works! With the introduction of a 3D version, this retro game is more captivating than ever and players just keep playing to capture ‘em all.
So there you have it, five of the most addictive video games to have ever been created. Whether it’s Bejeweled or Grand Theft Auto V, these games just seem to have it all!
