12+ Cool looking monsters from video games

OK, remember I did a few posts a while ago on hot video game men and sexy video games ladies as well as my favourite androgynous characters?

Well, this is similar, but it covers quite different subject matter: video game monsters. I love a good monster design and games with lots of cool monsters make me happen.

Here goes – Comment to add your own!

Things that I hate in games

Hi guys, let’s go on a rant about things that I hate in games!

By all means, a game isn’t bad if it features it, but man it can make it a hell of a lot worse!

If anyone can think of anything else they hate and primary examples, go right ahead!

Rusty Bucket Bay Banjo Kazooie

I’m looking at you Underwater Levels!

How cute is this E3 Game

I’ve kind of been following E3. I’m not about to get a PS4 or anything, but I love knowing what games are about to be released. I found this:

Best of E3 Gamergraphic – by the team at NetVoucherCodes.co.uk

And also, here’s a cool chart of all the games that will be released.

Here’s what I care about:

  • New Ace Attorney (been announced for a while)
  • New Pokémon (Haven’t played B&W2 yet, been announced for ages)
  • New Castlevania (not that I’ve played Lord of Shadows, and it’s a sequel)
  • New Final Fantasy (Haven’t played XIII but hey, whatever)
  • New Kingdom Hearts (Although I’m kind of worried. The spin-offs got worse and worse)
  • New Shin Megami Tensei (Been announced for ages)
  • Link to the Past Sequel (Actually playing Link to the Past for the first time right now)
  • Smash Bros on the 3DS (Never played any of them, everyone says they’re really good)
  • 12+ Video Game Men that a girl gamer thinks are hot

OK, I might as well do a follow up to my highly succesful post full of pictures of sexy ladies but with guys. I dedicate this to Laura who said she’d prefer a post with hot guys.

Now, since I’m not really very attracted to guys, this might be a bit hit and miss. In no particular order:

12+ Video Game Females a Girl Gamer thinks are Sexy

OK, I dedicate this post to AJ and Jules who both have great conversational skills and twitter feeds.

Basically, this post isn’t a review but pictures of pretty girls from games according to me

Now, let’s get this started – I am open to suggestions. I’ll post any that you guys give.

    Castlevania: Lament of Innocence Review

You guys know I’m a big fan of the Castlevania series – right? However, this is a Castlevania: Lament of Innocence review, so it’s the first review of a Castlevania for a non-portable console I’ll have done.

    Castlevania Lament of Innocence Boxart

Lament of Innocence was just released as “Castlevania” in Europe, confusing everyone.

    Console: PS2
Where does this place in Castlevania Timeline? It’s the very first in the timeline. That is before they made Order of Shadows to reboot the series and change the backstory entirely.
Where does it place in personal preference? Not very high. I didn’t want to replay it.

5 Games I might consider buying an Xbox360 for

    Hi faithful readers!

This was supposed to be posted over at Andrew Radburn‘s site, but it appears to have died. However he is worth following on Twitter, so go and do that.

So, for those of you who do not know – I’ve never played on an Xbox, and never really wanted to buy one. Similar because I’m pretty ‘new’ to gaming and still playing on an old console and catching up on all the good games that have been released in the past 15 years.

However, there are a good many Xbox360 games that have been released over the course of its existence that make me kind of want to get one. Maybe one day.

So I’ll do a list of my ‘top five games I want to play for this console’.

    Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia Review

Hello one and all, by now you should know that I love Castlevania games. Here’s the most recent DS installation: a Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia review.

    Order of Ecclesia review

    Console: DS
Compared to Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin: Quite different. Closer to Portrait of Ruin in level mechanics, but closer to Dawn of Sorrow in the customisation of character.
A female protagonist!? That’s right. And one with a massive slit up her skirt.

    Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin Review

Hello one and all. This was supposed to be done last Monday, but I sort of gave you two games in one on Sunday, so I left it to be done. A favourite of mine: Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin – review of which I hope you enjoy.

So, this is the second world war. REALLY?!

    Console: DS
So, the Dracula fight?: With Death as well. OH YEAH. Not a favourite final boss fight.
Charlotte or Jonathon?: I only really use magic when I want to be tactical, so… Jonathon.

    Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow Review

As part of the Royal Wedding special I will be reviewing a game about bloodsuckers – the first Castlevania game I played (unless you count Pokémon Yellow): Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow – review one of many in this series.

    Anime Soma wayhey

    Console: Nintendo DS
So, how was the Dracula fight? – Not present. I KNOW, right.
Strangest soul in the game – It’s got to be the Ghost soul. The description says “Separate from the body and conduct reconnaissance”. Soma can separate his conscious from his body and take it for a little wander. BUT he can’t go far from is body, so you can’t see much of what isn’t already on the screen, so it’s pretty pointless unless you like seeing Soma’s lifeless sprite. The other soul that appears useless is the ‘serve delicious curry’ ability from the Skeleton Waiter. There is a secret use for this though.
