Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons Review

When I reviewed a Link to the Past I revealed that I’d never completed Oracle of Seasons. When I reviewed Oracle of Ages I said I’d never completed Legend of Zelda: Oracles of Seasons.

Well guess what…

Did I beat it? Read on…

Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages Review

Now, way back when I reviewed A Link to the Past I revealed to you that I’ve never beaten Oracle of Seasons. Well, I decided to try to play its sister game Oracle of Ages just to prove to myself I can play a relatively old Zelda title.

Console: GameBoy, but I played it on the big screen via GameCube
Difficulty level: Not as difficult as A Link to The Past but more difficult than any other Zelda I’d previously played
Best Item: Toss up between Seed Shooter and Switch Hook. This is good as these are both necessary for the final boss…

The Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap Review

Hi guys, seems like it’s been a little while since I’ve done a review of a game that my friend Julian Kay gave me. Today it’s The Legend of Zelda:Minish Cap.

12+ Cool looking monsters from video games

OK, remember I did a few posts a while ago on hot video game men and sexy video games ladies as well as my favourite androgynous characters?

Well, this is similar, but it covers quite different subject matter: video game monsters. I love a good monster design and games with lots of cool monsters make me happen.

Here goes – Comment to add your own!

Things that I hate in games

Hi guys, let’s go on a rant about things that I hate in games!

By all means, a game isn’t bad if it features it, but man it can make it a hell of a lot worse!

If anyone can think of anything else they hate and primary examples, go right ahead!

Rusty Bucket Bay Banjo Kazooie

I’m looking at you Underwater Levels!

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Review

After many months of trial, I give up. This is a hard game! Many thanks to lightning-master Julian Kay for allowing me to do this Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past review.

Console: GBA
Are you sure this is “A link to the Past”? This came boxed with Four Swords, but yes – it’s A Link to the Past that I played.
Compared to other Zelda games? Really hard. Old Zelda games are so difficult (or maybe I just suck).

How cute is this E3 Game

I’ve kind of been following E3. I’m not about to get a PS4 or anything, but I love knowing what games are about to be released. I found this:

Best of E3 Gamergraphic – by the team at NetVoucherCodes.co.uk

And also, here’s a cool chart of all the games that will be released.

Here’s what I care about:

  • New Ace Attorney (been announced for a while)
  • New Pokémon (Haven’t played B&W2 yet, been announced for ages)
  • New Castlevania (not that I’ve played Lord of Shadows, and it’s a sequel)
  • New Final Fantasy (Haven’t played XIII but hey, whatever)
  • New Kingdom Hearts (Although I’m kind of worried. The spin-offs got worse and worse)
  • New Shin Megami Tensei (Been announced for ages)
  • Link to the Past Sequel (Actually playing Link to the Past for the first time right now)
  • Smash Bros on the 3DS (Never played any of them, everyone says they’re really good)
  • The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker Review

Hi guys, it’s been a while since I’ve reviewed a game that Julian Kay gave me to play (it’s because I keep getting stuck in Metroid Fusion and really want to finish it). Today I present a Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker review.

Now, let’s get this started – I am open to suggestions. I’ll post any that you guys give.

5 Cool Video Game Character Costumes

Hi guys, here for your enjoyment is an guest post by the guys at Fancy Dress Ball who have some really ace video game character costumes – just get planning for Halloween (I want to dress as Rin from Final Fantasy X, but that’s after Halloween!) In fact you can read about my adventures as Rin here. Anyway!

Halloween is on its way again and with it the chance to go all out with a fancy dress costume. For some people, thinking of a creative, original concept for a costume is child’s play, others need a little inspiration. If you are stuck for ideas on Halloween costumes or just fancy doing something different from the old sheet over the head, why not go to your next spooky soiree in a costume from one of your most beloved video games?!

A lot of the time, when you are dressed as something a little obscure you have to explain it all night and by the end of it wish you hadn’t bothered, but as a classic video game character you will be instantly recognised and may also turn a few smiles. Here is a list of the five coolest characters for whatever ghostly gathering you have in mind:
